Beauty Review: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

Maybelline-Great-Lash-Mascara-432

This mascara is known as a classic. Many beauty professionals and makeup artists swear by it. To see what all the fuss has been about, I picked up a package in Blackest Black from Walmart for $4.44. Considering price range, that’s a really good deal. After trying it, I now know why it is so hyped. The mascara goes onto your lashes evenly, makes your eyes pop, and doesn’t feel heavy or clumpy. Definitely worth the buy!

Even though half the population shares your eye color, you can still make brown eyes unique! Since brown is a mix of all primary colors, you get the most shadow choices. Bright blue is recommended because of its brilliance and hue.

If you have green eyes, you will look amazing in purple toned shadows. Also taupes, metallics, and other warm colors look equally as breathtaking.

European Union Regulators Ban Animal-Tested Cosmetic Products

The import and sale of cosmetic products that have been and are currently being tested on animals is now deemed illegal in Europe. This is to create further evidence that Europe is in fact addressing animal welfare. Before the new rule was even officially announced, L’Oreal, based in France, claimed that it would “no longer sell in Europe any finished product with an ingredient that was tested on animals”. Europe is trying to put more pressure on the rest of the world to end animal testing. However, this may complicate their trade with countries like China, which demands animal testing as a condition for marketing cosmetics. Estee Lauder, based in the United States, also does not test on animals. For a full list of other companies that don’t test on animals, check out the link below.
